Which is the best satay in Kajang? Haji Samuri? Well, it is no doubt that Haji Samuri is already the well-known satay in Kajang. But this Nyok Lan is one of the best too that I could tell and it is done by a Chinese old uncle.
Beef and chicken satay.
Mutton, deer and fish satay. All the 5 different satay meat are very tender. Among all of them, the best is the mutton. It doesn't contain any smell of mutton at all and is delicious when it is served while it is hot.
Satay 'kuah' (sauce in Malay) with some chili (traditional satay sauce style).
Coconut water, not so nice because it is a young coconut without much flesh inside.
Well, I personally think that we shouldn't always focus only to the most famous ones (as I think those are usually suitable for non-Malaysians). We should always explore to find more varieties and options. This Nyok Lan (which is located somewhere near the Kajang Police Station) is worth to give it a try... ;)

Yummy Yummy @ Broga Recreational Fishing Park
Broga is getting more and more famous because of its Broga Hill, where a lot of youngsters go there for jungle trekking, no exception for me too! After the adventurous hiking, this is a good place for the next hang out - a very far-off place, yet able to cure your hunger after excessive exercise. It is a restaurant which is quite hidden and special in selling grilled fish. The fish is cooked on the spot after being caught alive and thus is extremely fresh. There is a pond solely to rear the fish as shown in the picture above.
Step 1: Say bye bye to the fish here as they are going to heaven soon...
Step 2: Look! They are deadly staring at you...soon to be cooked...
Step 3: Wrapped with the aluminum foil (added ingredients, flavorings and etc), grilled with charcoal...ready to be served soon!
Special Chili Padi style. You may choose to have extra hot or less spicy.
Fermented Soya Bean Sauce style. Ordinary soya sauce taste.
Herbal style. But I feel it has more soya sauce taste than herbal...
Vegetables - brinjal, ladies finger and big onion cooked with soya sauce.
In overall, the only special I found is the way the fish is grilled. Also, it is very freshly served. Total for the above serving 7 people is RM69.60, including 100 plus and rice for everyone. Good to give it a try if you happen to be in Broga.
From the Broga hill, go towards the Broga town direction and you will reach this temple. Keep left and you will see a very small road beside the temple (which I saw is just nice for one car to pass through).
Continue to drive until you see this 'Penternakan Chai Kee' on your right. This is the only place I found the address for this area (the restaurant doesn't have address according to the boss, haha...). Go until the end then you will see the restaurant.

Yummy Yummy @ Thailand Restaurant
When I was in Langkawi, I passed by this Thai restaurant and saw quite a number of customers. Thus, we decided to give it a try. Though the restaurant looks dark, but to my surprise, the food here is delicious!
This is fried chicken wrapped in Pandan leaves (RM12 for small, RM20 for big). The fried chicken is very crunchy while the Pandan leaves keep the chicken juice inside. It tastes so good with a little bit of Pandan smell.
Stir fried squid with three flavours (RM12 for small, RM20 for big). It comes with sweetness, sourness and spiciness. It tastes more like the Thai sauce, but it doesn't cover the freshness taste of the squid.
Fried 'Choy Sum' (a type of cabbage in Cantonese) (RM9 for small, RM15 for big). It is cooked with oyster sauce which is a normal cooking style which you can find everywhere.
Thai sauce.
Pineapple juice.
There are a lot more dishes which are not shown here. In overall, this is a recommended restaurant that you can go when you happen to travel in Langkawi. We wanted to try the mussle initially, but unfortunately they are sold out. There are tanks in this restaurant which used to rear those seafood which is going to be cooked. But most of them are already empty, out of stock maybe? Haha...
